My Brand Strategy

Brand strategy is the plan for making sure you (or typically your business) stay true to who you are, make decisions, connect with your people, and help you reach your goals.

I firmly believe that just saying something without the data to back it up is meaningless. That's why, in addition to my portfolio, I've put together a brand strategy that showcases who I am as a military brat who's spent most of her life in Montana.

So, without further ado, let's dive in.

Brand Pillars

If a brand is a tent, your brand pillars are the poles that hold it up. They are adjectives that best describe you and should be represented in everything you’re doing.

Curious: Inquisitive & Novel

Determined: Intentions & Commitment

Consistent: Behavior & Habits

Exuberant: Personality & Perspective

Voice, Tone, Vibe

How you sound and the general feeling people get from your brand.

Voice: Candid

Tone: Eclectic

Vibe: Clever

Positioning Simplified

This is how your brand says “I’m not like other brands.”

I’m a certified brand strategist that unites a love of numbers with a dash of creative thinking, resulting in brands that go beyond buzzwords and resonate with their people.

True Line

At the end of the day, this is the truest statement that encompasses your brand.

Let’s find a
better way.

Recommendations

When it comes to branding, it is not just about the things you say about yourself, but it's also about what others say about you (one of the many reasons I enjoy surveys). So here’s what my past teammates think about me.

  • Katherine Hezel, is exceptionally sharp and capable woman. She gets it in a way that most people never achieve and she is just getting started. The cherry on top is she is a wierd, silly, passionate, goofball that is a absolute joy to work with.

Tyrel Thornton, Former Creative Director at Hardy Brands

  • Katherine has been an incredible asset to our team. Her high level of professionalism, curiosity, optimism, and communication has allowed our digital team to achieve incredible success. She is never afraid to try new projects, scale ideas up (or down) depending on audience needs, and delivers all of her projects ahead of schedule and above and beyond the original scope/requirements.

Laura Dick, Former Supervisor at MontanaPBS

  • Katherine is one of my favorite people to work with. She makes a mean martini, brings a keen insight to brand strategy, a fresh voice to brands with copywriting and a sense of fun to any group dynamic. I love watching her in her element; with her curious mind at work she connects with clients in a way that is both candid and meaningful.

Teresa Keserich, Graphic Designer at Hardy Brands

  • 10/10 would recommend working with Katherine.
